Ahmet Fidan

Sakarya University (SAU) is one of the greatest universities in Turkiye. It has various faculties, and research and developing centers on different sciences and disciplines. Faculty of Education has 10 different teacher graduation program from preschool to middle school, from English as foreign language to special education. Special Education Teacher graduation program is a undergraduate (4 year) program intended to education and training of individuals with disabilities. It has 9 academicians and about 400 students currently.
Teachers' inclusive education competences are not so good. Current PD practices and opportunities are inadequate. Teachers are accepting the specialist dependent and in person PD more effective than ICT based/mediative PD. In the context of the teachers PD on the inclusive education, teachers trainers need the basic skills related to the content and presenting effective PD. Project on the developing ICT related competences of teachers and teacher trainers may be effective in schools.
