The University of Tartu Pärnu College is one of the regional colleges of the University of Tartu located in Pärnu town. Pärnu College is providing the following applied higher education diploma level programs: Tourism and Hotel Management, Entrepreneurship and Project Management, Social Work and Rehabilitation, Design Thinking and Digital Marketing. In addition, three master level programmes are offered: Service Design and Management, Social Innovation, and Wellness and Spa Service Design and Management (International programme).
In the past two years, digital learning opportunities have changed a lot. Today, we cannot only deliver video lessons, and distance learning should be much more inclusive of students. The topic becomes complex, especially if the lesson takes place online and in the classroom at the same time. In my opinion, one of the challenges is to find new ways to develop management and training competencies in the field of HE. This could be done in cooperation with other educational institutions.
The 1st idea aims at providing the students and teachers with data analysis, visualization competences and presentation skills through the new international study module. The cooperation will support the development of e-learning tools where students and teachers will be able to learn, teach and co-create the content of courses. The 2nd idea is finding the best solutions integrating accessibility policy issues into tourism curricula.
