Since 1953, UNIEP has been the trade association representing Professional Painters. Across the European Union UNIEP represents and defends the interests of the Painting sector, working on the image of the profession through the improvement of skills and competences in order to ensure a qualified future for Painters and Decorators and attract young people to the Profession.
Our craft must adapt to innovations. That is key to meeting the need for more young people in the profession. We need to improve the conditions of apprenticeship, which were hit hard by the transition to distance teaching due to Covid. The need to develop innovation in learning concerns both trainers and students. By updating the digital competences in the education system, we can bring apprentices to discover new technologies in painting craft. Also, ICT must be more inclusive and sustainable.
